Translations & Interpretations

Peace is a Korean-to-English literary translator whose work centers on contemporary Korean literature, historical memory, and marginalized voices. She is especially drawn to fiction and nonfiction that engage Korea's shamanic and animist traditions, collective trauma, and the afterlives of colonialism, war, and displacement.

Her work has been recognized with the 2025 Kevin O'Rourke Literary Translation Prize, supported by the Literature Translation Institute of Korea's 2025 Professional Development Program for Korean-to-English Literary Translators, and awarded grants from the Daesan Foundation (2024) and Literature Translation Institute of Korea.

In addition to literary translation, Peace offers Korean-English interpretation for lectures, artist talks, documentary screenings, and confidential sessions with Korean shamans and spiritual practitioners, as well as cultural sensitivity reviews for publishers and organizations working across Korean and English.
